This painting is a variation on an early work by Woody van Amen, in which he used various advertising campaigns as a motif for his work. Mars Wrigley’s advertising and marketing campaigns funded with huge budgets have moved with time. Today you quickly run into terms as ‘gender equality’
and ‘sustainability’, this was clearly not the case in the 1960s.
